What's covered: Essentials, Professional, and Advisory subscriptions — annual or monthly.
How it works: Email billing@aitaxaccountant.com within 30 days of your first payment. We refund 100% of what you paid (including Stripe processing fees we incurred). Refunds post via Stripe to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Important limits: One refund per customer, per lifetime. Applies only to the first 30 days from your first paid charge, not to subsequent renewals. Does not apply to First Reports, Season Passes, or Add-on Runs (each has its own terms below).
After 30 days: Subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the paid period. You can still cancel anytime via your billing dashboard.
Pricing: Essentials First Report — $47 (one report). Professional First Report — $97 (one report).
100% credit toward Month 1 (the 7-day window): If you subscribe to any tier within 7 days of paying for your First Report, we automatically apply a coupon equal to 100% of the First Report price toward your first month's subscription. This is handled in Stripe — you don't have to do anything.
After the 7-day window: The First Report is non-refundable. You received the report.
Once delivered: The First Report cannot be refunded once the report has been generated and delivered to your account, regardless of timing.
Pricing: Essentials Pass — $297 (2 reports). Professional Pass — $597 (4 reports). Advisory Pass — $797 (4 reports). All Passes are valid for 12 months from purchase.
Refundable within 14 days if unused: A Season Pass is refundable in full within 14 days of purchase if no reports have been generated against the Pass.
Non-refundable once used: Once any report is generated against the Pass (even one report on a four-report Pass), the entire Pass becomes non-refundable.
12-month expiration — no extensions: Unused runs at the end of 12 months are forfeited. We do not extend Season Pass validity.
The Add-on Run ($149) is sold only to active Season Pass holders.
Refundable within 7 days if unsubmitted: Refundable in full within 7 days of purchase if the job has not been submitted to the pipeline. "Submitted" means you have uploaded documents and started processing.
Non-refundable once submitted: Once the job is submitted, the Add-on Run is non-refundable because computational work has begun.
Tied to active Season Pass: If your Season Pass expires without you using the Add-on Run, the Add-on Run is also forfeited.
The Advisory tier ($397/mo annual or $597/mo monthly) carries a 3-month minimum commitment.
First 30 days: The 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee applies in full. A refund within 30 days cancels the 3-month commitment.
After 30 days but before 3 months: No refunds. Your subscription continues until the end of the 3-month window. You can submit cancellation now; it takes effect at end of month 3.
After 3 months: Standard month-to-month or annual cancellation terms apply.

Include: your account email, plan or product purchased, payment date, brief reason.
Response time: We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds post via Stripe within 5–10 business days.
If we deny a refund, we explain why in writing and reference the specific section of this Policy that applies.
We strongly prefer that you contact us before disputing a charge with your bank.
If you initiate a chargeback, we will work with Stripe and your bank to respond. We reserve the right to suspend your access to the Service during an active chargeback dispute. Access is restored if the dispute is resolved in your favor or withdrawn.
If a chargeback is decided in our favor, we may decline future business with the disputing account.
Cancellation is not the same as a refund. You can cancel a subscription at any time, but cancellation by itself does not trigger a refund unless one of the sections above applies.
How to cancel: Log in to portal.aitaxaccountant.com → Billing → Cancel Subscription → Confirm.
Your subscription stops at the end of your current paid period. You retain full access through that period. You will not be billed again.
Failed reports (our error): If a paid report fails to generate due to our error — pipeline bug, infrastructure failure, or data-handling issue on our side — we provide a full credit of that report at no charge.
Does not cover failures caused by corrupted, password-protected, unreadable, or incomplete documents you uploaded, documents in unsupported formats, missing information, or other user-side errors.
Documented platform downtime: Downtime exceeding 24 consecutive hours within a single billing month qualifies for a pro-rated credit on request.
